This "Sanctuary City" Table tucked away in front of the community room at Boedekker Park in the Tenderloin. It is made of a concrete top sealed with art resin on top of a steel reinforced bottom with a metal net. Artist Joaquin Sorro designed and painted the top while Andy Co completed the art on the base. The table is dedicated to all the people who have come to San Francisco in search of sanctuary and encourages play between different cultures and ages.
The Peoples Tables are artistic outdoor ping pong tables placed strategically to activate public spaces . This table , named "TOPA Still Here" is in honor of local artist who recently passed away.
